Sprains and Strains

Firstly, let’s explain the difference.  A sprain is a tear or stretching of a ligament which provides joint stability. A strain is a stretch or tear of a muscle or tendon where it is turning into a muscle.

Sprains are generally associated with ankles, knees, wrists and fingers.

Strains commonly occur areas affected by repetitive movements or overexertion such as the back, shoulder or hamstring.

Our treatment of these injuries can relieve pain, swelling, and help regain mobility and strength.

At Next Level Chiropractic you’ll find our treatments of sprains and strains not only promote healing of the injured area, but help strengthen the areas around the injury, thereby decreasing the chance of re-injuries in the future.
